Principles

Like any other roleplaying game, the rules of the Fifth World RPG give us a lot of options. They’ll make some things easy and other things difficult, and lots of things will fall in a gray area in between. Our agenda tells us our objectives as players, which help give us some direction, but our principles give us an idea of how to achieve those objectives.

We have two different kinds of principles, though: core principles, which remain in play throughout the game, and cyclic principles, which come and go as the story progresses.

That means that the list of principles in play will shift slightly throughout the game. When you feel unsure about how to answer a question or what to do next, review the principles in play.
