People in the Fifth World do not generally consider gender a binary, nor do they consider it biological.
The most conservative societies recognize only two genders. Most societies, however, recognize three to five genders. Nearly all communities allow children to choose their own gender when they reach adulthood, or have some sort of recognized process by which one can change one's gender.
Most communities do divide labor along gender lines. The specifics of that division differ from one community to the next. That said, they do not value the activities associated with one gender above those associated with another, as that would violate the egalitarian principles that define their relationships.
