Seed Grove
Seed Grove lies within the territory of the Mountain People and plays an important role in their gardening practices as their primary coconut nursery. They gather coconuts here, but not for consumption. Rather, they submerge the coconuts in large basins, weighted with rocks to keep them underwater, for several days. Then they move the coconuts to a special hut that they keep warm, humid, and dark, where they sit for several months. Once they begin to germinate, they take the coconuts to one of the regular groves located around their territory.
